Nicolas Jaar announces second Sydney show
Due to huge demand, Chilean-American electronic composer, Nicolas Jaar, has added a second Sydney show to his exclusive one-city headline stop this March. Jaar will play back-to-back shows at the Metro Theatre on Monday 13th March (sold out) and Tuesday 14th March (on sale now).
These two special Sydney dates will be Jaar’s only headline performances outside of his already announced Golden Plains festival appearance.
Jaar’s latest album ‘Sirens’ follows on from his critically acclaimed debut, ‘Space Is Only Noise’ (2001), which launched his career and saw him top multiple Album of the Year charts. ‘Sirens’ delivers lush soundscapes and euphoric ambient breaks to listeners, in what Pitchfork describes as a “thoughtful study in contrasts, both musical and political”.
Jaar’s live show bridges the space between high art and the club, characterised by minimal production and abstract sprawling fluid sets. “His creativity, unusual and strange, often begged for some degree of deciphering via self-reflection.” – Mxdwn
