Laneway Presents CHVRCHES - Asia

Laneway Presents and Feedback Asia are proud to announce that the Scottish synth-pop band are returning for their first comprehensive Asian tour.

Earlier this year Scottish electronic band CHVRCHES made their debut Asian appearance at Laneway Festival Singapore to a crowd of 10,000 fans from all over the region. This November they return to adventure on their first comprehensive Asian tour featuring headlining stops in Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Seoul.

The band is also participating on the inaugural Asian music festival at sea, It’s The Ship, that sets sail from Singapore to Langkawi, Malaysia, as well as the revered annual Hong Kong music and multimedia arts festival, Clockenflap.

Recently formed in 2011, CHVRCHES have already won the hearts of millions of fans across the world, won over by their infectious radio hits like “The Mother We Share” and their inspiring live shows. CHVRCHES came together to make pop music for people to dance to. Things have accelerated quickly for the band since they posted their first song, Lies, online in May 2012, including a place in the top five of the BBC Sound of 2013, sell out headline tours in the UK and US, with the most recent US tour seeing them play to almost 20,000 people over 18 shows. They had a triumphant, award-winning appearance at SXSW, toured Australia twice - both times playing sold out headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney, as well as a string of stadium dates with Depeche Mode, and most recently wining Breakthrough Act of the Year at the 2014 A2IM Libby Awards to name but a few.

The band, consisting of members Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty have been touring the world with barely a break since the release of their debut record, The Bones Of What You Believe. CHVRCHES are looking forward to celebrating the grand finale of an epic year of touring on this Asian tour.
