The stunning music video for latest single ‘It’s A Shame’ was also unveiled this morning, together with extensive US and UK tour dates for 2018. Watch the video here.

‘It’s A Shame’ is the lead single from First Aid Kit’s forthcoming fourth studio album, which is due for release next year. The track explores “the emptiness and desperation you feel after a relationship has come to an end.”, and has been described by NPR as a “slick and billowy confection which, true to the M.O., applies layers of winsome charm to potent, melancholy insights about searching for an identity amid fleeting romance.

The duo has garnered worldwide success off the back of their critically acclaimed three studio albums and enthralling live performances. They have played at the world’s most iconic venues and festivals from Royal Albert Hall, the Ryman Auditorium and Radio City Music Hall to The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Osheaga Festival and more. “They have a wonderful knack of letting their voices swoop together then dive, like a hawk suddenly snatching up prey; each discord makes you reel” -- The Guardian

“… tonight the dichotomy between guitarist Klara’s more gossamer like, honeyed lilt and elder sister and keyboard player Johanna’s darker delivery makes their harmonies all the more bewitching.” -- Manchester Evening News

In 2012, First Aid Kit’s song ‘Emmylou’ was named Rolling Stone magazine’s #10 single of the year. In the same year, the sisters were invited to perform seminal Simon & Garfunkel song ‘America’ for Polar Music Prize-winner Paul Simon, who defied convention to give the band a standing ovation. At the Polar Music Prize Awards a year earlier, the duo moved Patti Smith to tears with a stunning rendition of her song ‘Dancing Barefoot’. First Aid Kit now has a slew of live television performances under their belt, appearing on everything from Later with Jools Holland, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Graham Norton Show, the list goes on!

Last in Australia in 2015, First Aid Kit’s April 2018 concerts will provide Australian fans with the first opportunity to experience the band’s brand new music live, in intimate settings.
