Savages announce second Melbourne show
Returning to Australia this June for anticipated East Coast dates, Savages today add a second and final Melbourne show to their headline tour run. The dynamic four-piece will hit Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Thursday 16th June, followed by back to back shows at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Sunday 19th and Monday 20th June. In addition, Savages will take in MONA’s Dark Mofo winter festival on Saturday 18th June. Tickets for the second Melbourne show are on sale now.
Known for their fierce brand of noise rock, Savages blew audiences away during their anticipated Coachella sets earlier this month, making DIY Mag’s list of first weekend highlights with a standout “exhilarating rendition of Adore...”, as Stereogum raved that the band’s “set last night was an undeniable force”.
Savages will return to Australia just over two years on from their last visit, with an acclaimed brand new album Adore Life under their belt and fresh from a mammoth North American tour run, which has garnered rave reviews. Consequence Of Sound says “the (new) material breathes just fine, sturdy and lively with thick blood… Savages’ music has always been crafted to be played live”, while the UK’s Telegraph describes the band as “impossibly compelling”.
Savages recently performed a stunning rendition of Adore on The Ellen DeGeneres Show – Watch here.
