Stateside indie-rock band Real Estate have announced national Australian tour dates in addition to their appearance at Splendour in the Grass this July. This is their first return to Australia since their sold out national tour in 2015.

The five-piece will take in Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom on Saturday 22nd July, Adelaide’s Ed Castle on Tuesday 25th July and Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Thursday 27th July. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday 11th April at 9am local time.

Real Estate will land in Australia for their fourth visit supporting the release of their acclaimed fourth album In Mind. Recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy-winning producer Cole M.G.N. (Beck, Snoop Dogg, Julia Holter), Rolling Stone says In Mind “… may be (the band’s) finest record”.

Over 11 songs, In Mind pushes the band in new directions, while still retaining the warmth and soft-focus narratives that one has come to expect from Real Estate; pastoral guitars, elegantly deployed arrangements, a mindful melancholy. In Mind offers the sound of a mature band not only at the height of its power, but in a period of change.

It’s a gorgeous album, charming in it’s simplicity but made nuanced with an aura that is impossible to recreate.” – 4 Stars, Acid Stag

Unlike many acts that seem to get lost and lack any creativity once they’re several albums in, Real Estate have arguably produced their best record to date.” – 9/10 Stars, The Line Of Best Fit

Known for their hazy guitar and mellow lo-fi indie vibes, going to a Real Estate show can be likened to long relaxed summer afternoons. The Daily Review says, “… walking out of the venue was like waking from a beautiful half-remembered nostalgic dream, the trance-inducing music only broken by of the outside hustle and bustle.

… the band’s unassuming, tempered aura elicits a relaxed enjoyment through the crowd, and makes listening to such chilled out sounds utterly natural” – The Line Of Best Fit

Real Estate have previously played Australia’s Laneway Festival and Golden Plains, with 2017 international festivals appearances including Coachella, Outside Lands, Splendour In The Grass, End of The Road Festival, and more. Don’t miss them when they make their return to Australia this July.
